This is a personal piece, exploring and displaying symbolism of suppressed belief, doubt, and the endurance of the inner self belief.
Inspired by the worn beauty of fresco wall fragments, the painting was intentionally composed to resemble a salvaged wall segment, as if lifted from an ancient chapel and carefully preserved.
Mixed paints and media used on plaster, wood and gold leaf. Securely glued, sealed and screwed onto wooden gold leaf hand made frame.
